At the moment, we are completing a comprehensive study on the development of «A methodology for assessing the state of development of customs regulation in the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union, taking into account the approaches of the World Customs Organization». The research article will be posted on our information resource in February 2023. The material contains an analysis of the approaches of the World Customs Organization, the European Union, as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission for the preparation of such a methodology and relevant indicators.

IV EURASIAN DIGITAL FORUM

In the period from June 6 to 10, 2022, in Minsk, (Republic of Belarus), the IV Eurasian Digital Forum (EADF) was held as part of the XXVIII International ICT Forum “TIBO-2022”. EADF has become the central international event of TIBO-2022. The forum has been held on the fields of TIBO since 2018.

SESSION OF THE UNECE INLAND TRANSPORT COMMITTEE

The 85th session of the UNECE Inland Transport Committee (Committee) will be held from 21 to 24 February 2023.

Note: The Inland Transport Committee, established in 1947, is the highest policy-making body of UNECE in the field of transport. During the course of the past 75 years, together with its subsidiary bodies, it has provided a unique intergovernmental forum where countries come together to forge tools for economic cooperation and adopt international legal instruments on inland transport..

The World Customs Organization (WCO) has published an Annual Report on its work for 2021-2022. It summarizes the WCO’s structure and activities, and includes data on all WCO Members. Along with this, the published report reflects such sections as WCO Major Working Bodies, Path to the new WCO Strategic Plan 2022-2025, WCO News and Upcoming Events, New Regional Structures and Partnerships.

The ROCB Europe: toward the effective implementation of a modern, competency-based structure

The WCO has focused on expanding its presence in the regions in recent years through the establishment of a number of Regional Training Centers (RTCs) and Regional Offices for Capacity Building (ROCBs). The overall objective  for establishing and running such regional entities has been to support Members’ organizational development, incorporate and reflect the WCO’s global strategy, capitalize on regional synergies, work closely with regional and local stakeholders and donors supporting capacity building, and address specific regional issues in a more relevant way.
