On March 6, 2023 the organizers of the conference “Intellectual checkpoint in Russia and the world – a competency-based approach to creation”, which took place from February 16 to 17, 2023 at the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI” named after Ulyanov (Lenin), posted an updated collection of conference materials in the public domain.
On February 28, 2023, a scientific and methodological seminar “Actual issues of the functioning of the customs service” was held.
The seminar was attended by the teaching staff of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy.
The seminar was opened by the person responsible for the management and organization of work at the Department of Management and Economics of Customs, Ph.D.

Presentations were made by:
1. Kolesnikov Nikita Ivanovich, Chief State Customs Inspector of the Personnel Training Department of the Southern Customs Administration.
The topic of the report is “Personnel support for the activities of customs authorities in modern conditions.”
2. Anna Vasilievna Konozova, Senior State Customs Inspector of the Department for Organization and Support of Procurement Activities of the Contract Service of the Southern Customs Administration.
The topic of the report is “Procurement activity as an important supporting mechanism of customs authorities”.
After each presentation, a discussion took place, during which the speakers answered questions within the framework of the topic under study.
From February 16 to February 17, 2023, St. Petersburg hosted the conference «Intellectual checkpoint in Russia and the world: a competency-based approach to creation». The issue of developing the institution of digital (smart) customs, and with it the introduction of advanced digital (breakthrough) technologies in its activities, can be traced in most scientific studies.
In accordance with the Plan of scientific events of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy, implemented as part of the XXVII Youth Scientific Forum «Science Week: Digitalization of the Customs Authorities», dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Russian Customs Academy, on February 18, 2023, an inter-faculty conference of 1st year students of the Rostov branch was held of the Russian Customs Academy on the topic «The fate of economic reforms in Russia: the reforms of Alexander II».
On 15 February 2023, the World Customs Organization (WCO) held the first symposium on E‑Commerce and Customs Valuation. During the hybrid event, international organizations, Customs administration, and the private sector discussed the challenges in calculating Customs Value for E‑Commerce.
On February 11 a scientific seminar was held by the Student Scientific Circle of the Humanitarian Disciplines Department, timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Science on February 8.
