
On March 29, 2023, the Vladivostok branch of the Russian Customs Academy held a scientific seminar “Identification and detection of falsified, including counterfeit, goods for customs purposes. Problems. Ways of solution”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the academy.
The event was opened by Vice-Rector-Director of the Branch V.I. Dyakov, who outlined the main goals of the seminar – the development of research skills among students and the improvement of scientific research conducted in the interests of customs and customs education. Head of the Department of Commodity and Customs Expertise T.V. Chadova, as a moderator of the seminar, spoke about the work schedule and introduced the participants.
All studies were tested and prepared on practical examples of identification and identification of counterfeit and counterfeit goods in the Far East region:

Practical aspects of identification and detection of falsification of food goods (Professor of the Department L.P. Solovieva);
Identification of food goods for their classification according to the EAEU HS (Associate Professor of the Department O.N. Samchenko);
Identification of goods containing objects of intellectual property (head of the department for the examination of light industry goods of the Forensic Customs Service (Vladivostok) I.N. Kaganovskaya).
Associate Professor of the Basic Department of Bioeconomics and Food Security of the Advanced Engineering School of the Far Eastern Federal University E.S. Smertina held a master class “Identification and detection of falsification of goods”, demonstrating the possibility of detecting falsification of some food goods in 2-3 minutes (for example, honey, tea and coffee, meat products, fruits).
