National IPR Seminar on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy Health and Safety Republic of Armenia 26-28 of June 2019
The World Customs Organization in cooperation with the State Revenue Committee of Republic of Armenia organized a National Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy which took place in Yerevan, Armenia from 26th to 28th of June.
9th edition of the WCO Knowledge Academy opens its doors in Brussels
The 9th edition of the WCO knowledge Academy for Customs and Trade was launched on Monday 1 July 2019 at the WCO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, with over 150 participants taking part in a one-week intensive training course targeted at Customs and trade professionals. The sessions will conclude with a field trip to the port of Antwerp, organized with the kind support and close collaboration of Belgium Customs.
WCO support for enhancing Single Window Environment in Eurasian Economic Union and Central Asian countries in partnership with ADB, UN/ESCAP and EEC
Under the sponsorship of the China Customs Cooperation Fund (CCF China) and in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN/ESCAP) and the Eurasian Economic Commission, a Sub-Regional Workshop titled “Trade Facilitation, Promoting Inclusive Trade through Innovation and Technology: the Roles of E-Commerce, Trade Finance, and National Single Window Environments” has been hosted in Yerevan by the Customs Administration of Armenia from 11 to 13 June 2019. The Workshop was aimed at strengthening Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Members and Central Asian countries’ capacity to grasp the opportunities that technology and innovation offer in unlocking the gains from the seamless flow of goods across borders and towards developing a harmonized approach in implementation and interoperability of Single Window solutions.

В июне 2019г. Региональным учебным центром ВТамО и Российской таможенной академией была издана МОНОГРАФИЯ «Цифровая таможня. Опыт Всемирной таможенной организации». Автор монографии Мозер Сергей Владимирович, заместитель начальника отдела перспективных таможенных технологий Департамента таможенного законодательства и правоприменительной практики Евразийской экономической комиссии, старший научный сотрудник Научно-исследовательского института Российской таможенной академии, кандидат юридических наук.

In June 2019 the WCO Regional Training Center and the Russian Customs Academy published the MONOGRAPH «DIGITAL CUSTOMS. WCO Experience». The author of the monograph is Mr. Mozer Sergei, Deputy Head of the Division of Advanced Customs Technologies, Department of Customs Legislation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter – EEC), Senior Researcher of the Research Institute of the Russian Customs Academy, PhD in Law.

19 июня 2019 г. на очередном заседании межведомственного научного семинара Владивостокского филиала Российской таможенной академии «Россия в АТР: экономика, политика, культура» выступил ведущий научный сотрудник Центра изучения российско-японских отношений Восточного института – Школы региональных и международных исследований ДВФУ, кандидат экономических наук, профессор Тагир Даутович Хузиятов с докладом «Реализация плана сотрудничества из 8 пунктов в контексте российско-японских отношений и глобального развития».

6-8 июня в Санкт-Петербурге, в университете ИТМО под эгидой молодежной программы Петербургского международного экономического форума (ПМЭФ) состоялась VI Международная Молодежная Конференция i-Customs Conference «Международный бизнес, инновации и таможенное регулирование» на английском языке. В работе конференции принимали участие ведущие международные эксперты в области мировой торговли. Основной целью конференции являлась организация конструктивного диалога студентов, изучающих проблемы международной торговли и таможенного дела разных стран.
WCO Conference on technology kicks off in Baku
Around 900 delegates from almost 90 countries, representing the public and private sector, academia and international organizations, gathered in Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday 12 June 2019 to attend the WCO IT/TI Conference and Exhibition, a three-day event that will discuss implementation of technologies and its related challenges and opportunities. The event is being co-hosted by the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Korea Customs Service (KCS) and private sector companies, including the Corporate sponsor of the event, Rapiscan/AS&E/S2Global.
