The World Customs Organization (WCO and the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) are pleased to announce the translation and launch of the WCO and Egmont Group members’ version of the Customs – FIU Cooperation Handbook (CFCH) in four additional languages. The CFCH has recently been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and Russian. The CFCH was conceptualized and created by experts from the WCO Anti-money Laundering and Counter-terrorism Financing Programme and the Egmont Group, to include the FIUs of Hungary, Germany and Denmark. The CFCH was designed to serve as both a reference tool and a guide for all Customs services and FIUs in their daily effort to combat illicit financial flows touching upon the Customs arena.

WCO Second Global Conference on Cross-Border E-Commerce 2021
With the theme “Customs united effort on Recovery, Renewal and Resilience for a sustainable E-Commerce supply chain”, the Conference will bring together policy and decision makers, as well as operational experts from Customs, E-Commerce operators, international organizations, and other stakeholders. Considering the benefits of full implementation of the WCO E-Commerce Framework of Standards and the associated E-Commerce Package, Members and stakeholders will discuss Customs procedures renewal and innovation under COVID-19with the use of data and technologies for E-Commerce supply chain continuity. The event will stimulate and advance strategic thinking towards fostering innovative and inclusive partnership with E-Commerce stakeholders for a secure, sustainable and resilient cross-border E-Commerce environment.

With great pleasure we present to your attention another study (Guide) «Legal Instruments and Tools of the World Customs Organization», which reveals current issues of the functioning of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in the context of creating and improving modern legal instruments and tools of customs regulation. The author of the Guide is Sergei Mozer, Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of the Russian Customs Academy, which is the WCO Regional Training Center.

Автор руководства – Мозер Сергей, старший научный сотрудник Научно-исследовательского института Российской таможенной академии, которая является региональным учебным центром ВТамО.
Проблемы современного уголовного и уголовно-процессуального законодательства России
14 апреля 2021 года на Платформе MS Teams в ГКОУ ВО «Российская таможенная академия» Ростовский филиал в рамках работы XXV Молодежного научного форума «Неделя науки: Цифровизация деятельности таможенных органов» состоялось заседание секции «Проблемы современного уголовного и уголовно-процессуального законодательства России», руководителями которой являлись: Подройкина Инна Андреевна – профессор кафедры уголовно-правовых дисциплин Ростовского филиала Российской таможенной академии, доктор юридических наук, доцент, Подопригора Алексей Алексеевич – доцент кафедры уголовно-правовых дисциплин Ростовского филиала Российской таможенной академии, кандидат юридических наук, доцент.
Молодежный научный симпозиум экономического факультета
7–8 апреля 2021 г. был проведен Молодежный научный симпозиум научного студенческого общества экономического факультета «Экономические аспекты реализации стратегии развития таможенной службы Российской Федерации до 2030 г.». Научные мероприятия прошли с учетом соблюдения противоэпидемических мер на всех этапах подготовки и проведения симпозиума. Обучающиеся и научно-педагогические работники филиала приняли участие в работе симпозиума в очной форме, представители внешних организаций – заочно, с представлением статьи для публикации в сборнике научных трудов по результатам рецензирования.
The Virtual Working Group on Gender Equality and Diversity welcomes new Members and initiatives
WCO Members of the Virtual Working Group on Gender Equality & Diversity gathered on the 12th of April to discuss recent achievement and current work to promote gender equality and diversity in Customs. The meeting provided an opportunity for representatives from 14 Customs administrations (Argentina, Brazil, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, the Maldives, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand, United States, Zambia and Zimbabwe) to exchange. Information was shared on recent achievements including the launch of the Compendium on Gender Equality and Diversity in Customs showcasing examples from 17 Customs administrations around the world. VWG Members were also informed on the progress of current work including the enhancement of the WCO Blended Training Package on Advancing Gender Equality and Diversity in Customs.
