CONFERENCE “FATE OF ECONOMIC REFORM IN RUSSIA: REFORMS OF ALEXANDER II”

In accordance with the Plan of scientific events of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy, implemented as part of the XXVII Youth Scientific Forum «Science Week: Digitalization of the Customs Authorities», dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Russian Customs Academy, on February 18, 2023, an inter-faculty conference of 1st year students of the Rostov branch was held of the Russian Customs Academy on the topic «The fate of economic reforms in Russia: the reforms of Alexander II».

This event was attended by 1st year students of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Customs, in total more than 50 students. The jury of the conference included lecturers from the Department of Economic Theory and International Economic Relations, the Department of Humanities. The conference was held in an interdisciplinary format, organized and held as a result of the interdepartmental work of the teaching staff to guide the preparation of students’ reports.

The work of the students was organized as part of 12 creative groups-teams, the participants made scientific reports on the results of the collective work done on topics that reflected the reforms of the reign of Alexander II in the history of Russian society in the 19th century. In the speeches of students, fragments of documentaries, electronic museum exposition were used; artistic accompaniment associated with the reading of poems on a patriotic theme.

When summing up the results of the conference, the winners of the conference were determined – creative groups awarded diplomas of I, II, III degrees, diplomas and thanks for participation.
