The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the implementation of the Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025, conducted a demonstration of pilot projects for the development of the “single window” mechanism in Kazakhstan.
Participants in the event were representatives of authorized bodies of the states of the Eurasian Economic Union and participants in foreign economic activity – users of information systems. They got acquainted with the functionality, as well as the implemented services of the Kazakh Single Window Portal for Export-Import Operations.
The portal for export-import operations was launched in 2019 as part of the fulfillment of Kazakhstan’s obligations to simplify trade procedures and develop the infrastructure for the provision of public services. Thus, one resource combined data and functions that were previously in different information systems. The portal developers noted that this work is aimed at trade facilitation and speeding up customs operations.
The meeting participants noted that Kazakhstan’s experience in introducing digital technologies when carrying out export-import transactions is of practical interest within the Eurasian Economic Union.
Order of the EEC Council dated April 5, 2021 № 4 «On the Action plan for the implementation of the Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025» defines measures, mechanisms and activities for the implementation of Strategy 2025.
Regarding clause 9.4 the Action plan defines the organization of events aimed at demonstrating pilot projects for the implementation of national «single window» mechanisms in order to ensure their future compatibility and the possibility of data exchange.
