On April 1, 2023, an open lecture was held at the Institute of Economics, Management and Finance of the Russian New University (ROSNOU) on the topic “Improvement of customs regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union based on the legal instruments and tools of the World Customs Organization: theory and practice”.
The audience of the event were 1st year students of the specialty “customs” of the Institute of Economics, Management and Finance.
The open lecture was held by Sergei Mozer, Ph.D. in Law, who, as part of his professional and scientific activities, studies the issues of improving customs regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the framework of cooperation with the World Customs Organization (WCO).

During the open lecture, students got acquainted with the theoretical and practical aspects of the functioning of the Union. Special attention was paid to the work of the customs cooperation bloc of the Eurasian Economic Commission (Commission), as well as the development of the digital customs institution and the “single window” mechanism in the Member States of the Union.
Sergei Moser dwelled on the practical aspects of cooperation between the Commission and the working bodies of the World Customs Organization on a wide range of issues of customs cooperation, and also paid attention to the Working group on interaction with the WCO, created by Order of the Board of the Commission on March 29, 2022 № 55.
Along with this, the lecturer focused the attention of students on disciplines that need to be given special attention within the framework of the received specialty. Among them are advanced digital technologies, business process analysis and their algorithmic modeling, data processing and analysis, as well as the study of foreign languages.
At the end of the event, a dialogue took place, during which students asked questions on the topic of the lecture. The lecture was held in a friendly atmosphere, and interaction with the university will continue.
