Once my colleague said that if you and your scientific ideas and inventions are not on YouTube, then you do not exist. And to some extent we can agree with this. You can have your own information resource (web page), where all scientific publications are posted in order to popularize the subject of research and the scientific results obtained. You can also create a specialized telegram channel for the same purposes. However, the consumer of information, for example, students, does not always have time to immerse themselves in reading specialized sources. And here “live” communication with the audience by means of video platforms comes to the rescue.
In this regard, we consider the possibility to open a separate YouTube channel is being considered, where the most interesting materials (lectures) related to research in the customs area and, above all, in the field of international customs law, including WCO law, will be presented. Later we will see how it will be implemented in 2023.
As a very good example, let us cite the initiative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (Commission, EEC) in 2021 to popularize its activities in the information space. Thus, the EEC Press service prepared a series of lectures by experts from various EEC blocs, including the customs one, on the basic projects of the Union. The topic of the project is “EAEU: what is it and how does it work?”.
One of the most interesting presentations was devoted to the “single window” mechanism in the foreign trade regulation system. The lecturer – Ms. Sekerbayeva Dinara, Head of the Division of Advanced Customs Technologies of the Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice. The topic of the report is “The Single Window Mechanism in the System of Foreign Economic Activity Regulation”.
As part of the project being implemented by the Commission, lectures were also presented on topical issues of the Customs Code of the Union, customs payments, development of the institution of an authorized economic operator.
