Representatives of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy took part in the project “Scientists to Schools” (as part of the launch of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia in 2023). The event was dedicated to the Day of Russian Science.
On February 6 and 7, 2023, teachers and employees of the branch visited the educational institutions of Rostov-on-Don and told schoolchildren about how their careers developed along the scientific path, about their professional interests, as well as about the research conducted by scientists at the Сustoms academy, and achievements of scientific progress, which are now used in the training of future customs officers.
The project was attended by:
- Petr Nikolayevich Bashly, Vice-Rector-Director of the branch, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Igor Alexandrovich Radchenko, Tutor of the Faculty of Advanced Studies demonstrated the augmented reality simulator to the students of the Moscow “School № 115 named after Yuri Andreyevich Zhdanov”;
- Aleksey Yuryevich Prokhorov, Dean of the Faculty of Customs, Ph.D. in Law and Petr Sergeevich Shevchuk, Professor of the Department of Customs Operations and Customs Control, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, as well as students of the Faculty of Customs, told the children from the “ Lyceum № 20 named after V.P. Polyanichko” on the use of inspection and screening systems in customs;
- Radomir Yuryevich Simionov, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor and Liliya Dmitrievna Kiyanova, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Customs Economics, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, together with students of the Faculty of Economics, told schoolchildren from the “Lyceum Economic № 14” on the world of economic sciences;
- Inna Andreevna Podroikina, Head of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, and Mikhail Borisovich Smolensky, Professor of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines, Doctor of Sociology, Candidate of Law, Professor, shared with students of the “ Lyceum № 13” with their achievements in legal sciences, and also spoke about the specifics of education at the law faculty of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy.
The children listened with interest to the speakers and received answers to all their questions.
