The Commonwealth of Independent States began its history with signing of the agreement on December 8, 1991 and became the union of independent states. For 25 years it develops and strengthens the relations of friendship, good neighborhood, inter-ethnic harmony, trust, mutual understanding and beneficial cooperation between states.
On December 7, 2016, the events, dedicated to “the CIS Day” and the 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, were held at Russian Customs Academy.

The Eurasian Economic Comission:
- Mukay Kadyrkulov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation
- Sergey Mozer, Deputy Head of the Advanced Customs Technologies Division of the Department of Customs Regulations;
On this day the representatives of the embassies and customs services of the CIS member states had a meeting with the Academy administration, academic staff, students, during which they discussed the issues of education, accommodation and other aspects of the foreign students’ live.
The evening was continued with a traditional festive concert, prepared by the students from the CIS member states.
The Republic of Abkhazia:

The Republic of Belarus:
- Olga Rovnenko – Head of the Chair of Customs, State Institute of Qualification Improvement and Retraining of Customs Personnel of the Republic of Belarus, Counselor of Customs Service;
- Igor Lavrinenko – Defense Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, major-general;
- Vladimir Shorohov – Head of Consul Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation;
The Republic of Kazakhstan:
- Yuriy Maksakov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation;
- Boris Romanov, the First Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation;
The Republic of Kirgizstan:
- Anwar Tohtohodzhaev – Advisor-Consul of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation;
- Bubuyra Abdyjaparova – Counselor of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation;
- Murat Bayguchukov – The First Secretary of the Embassy of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation;
- Gulbarchyn Bayimbetova – Attaché of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation;
- Ilya Klimenko – Head of the Kyrgyz Republic Customs Service Office;
- Barchinoy Anarbaeva – Referent of the Kyrgyz Republic Customs Service Office.
The actors showed the guests their national cuisine and traditions. The colorful festival of the national cultures union made a lasting impression on the audience. The artists, representing the CIS countries, with all warmth and love made a show of their people’ good customs and traditions.
