The WCO has updated the Customs Laboratory Guide (CLG), based on the Revenue Package Phase III Action Plan, adding more Members’ practices.
The CLG is primarily meant to be a practical handbook for the establishment and improvement of Customs laboratories in developing countries.
New Appendix IV containing the best practices in relation to sampling and “Test Procedures” collected from the Customs laboratories of 22 Members has been inserted into the Guide, as cited in Item 6 “Customs Laboratories” in the Action Plan for Phase III of the Revenue Package.
Updated Customs Laboratory Guide, including new Appendix IV, is now available, in English and French, on the WCO Members Web site. (http://www.wcoomd.org/en/topics/nomenclature/resources/publications.aspx)
