Following the June 2019 WCO Council decision, the 14 and 15 of November marked the start of a new crucial endeavor that WCO Membership has committed to over the next two years. The 1st meeting of the newly established Working Group on Performance Measurement (WGPM) took place, setting the tone for a pivotal collective challenge aimed at the establishment of a comprehensive WCO Performance Measurement mechanism incorporating all Customs competencies for assessing and improving Customs organizational performance.
On April 11-12, the II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference «Economic Strategies of the Eurasian Economic Union: Problems and Innovations» was held at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. The event was dedicated to issues of economic development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) Member States, deepening integration processes. Particular attention was paid to the role of customs authorities in the economic strategies of the EEU.
11 и 12 апреля в Российском университете дружбы народов (РУДН) состоялась II Всероссийская научно-практическая конференция «Экономические стратегии ЕАЭС: проблемы и инновации». Мероприятие было посвящено вопросам экономического развития государств-членов ЕАЭС, углублению интеграционных процессов. Особое внимание было уделено роли таможенных органов в экономических стратегиях ЕАЭС.
On November 12, 2019, the Department of Informatics and Information Customs Technologies of the Customs Faculty of the Russian Customs Academy (hereinafter – the Faculty) organized a lecture-discussion on the role of the World Customs Organization in the formation of the digital customs institute. The lecture was read by Sergei Mozer, Deputy Head of the Division of Advanced Customs Technologies of the Department of Customs Legislation of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The audience was 5th year students of the Faculty with specialization «Organization of customs control»; «Commodity research and examination in customs»; «Information systems and customs technologies»; «International cooperation of Customs Administrations»; «Analytical activity of customs authorities».
