On October the 1st, 2022 an open lecture was held at the State University of Management on the topic «Problems and prospects for the implementation of Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 in terms of Cooperation with the World Customs Organization». Lecturer – Mozer Sergei, Senior Researcher of the Research Institute in the Russian Customs Academy, Ph.D. In his professional activity, he specializes in researching the issues of interaction with the World Customs Organization (WCO).

ON DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS COOPERATION

In the period from June 27 to July 4, 2022, the Russian Customs Academy organized the work of the II International Scientific Summer School “Development of International Customs Cooperation”, which is a virtual educational platform where officials and specialists of the Federal Customs Service, scientific and pedagogical workers of the Russian Customs Academy, as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) present reports and share practical experience with university students on topical issues of international customs cooperation.

PROSPECTS FOR THE EEU – WCO INTERACTION: OPEN LECTURE

On June 18, 2022, an open lecture was held at the Institute of Economics, Management and Finance of the Russian New University (ROSNOU) on the topic “Improving the law of the Eurasian Economic Union in the framework of interaction between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the World Customs Organization”. The audience of the event was 3rd and 4th year students of the customs specialty.

In June 2022, a course of lectures on the discipline “International Legal Regulation of the Turnover of Goods and Services” was completed at the Department of “Trade and Trade Regulation” of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO). The discipline was read by Sergei Mozer, Deputy Head of the Department of Advanced Customs Technologies of the Department of Customs Legislation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Ph.D in law. By virtue of professional activities he interacts in practice with the World Customs Organization (WCO) and also explores the issues of modernizing the law of the Eurasian Economic Union based on the WCO legal instruments and tools.

THE EEC CREATES A LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR EFFECTIVE COORDINATION OF THE ACTIONS OF THE EEU CUSTOMS SERVICES WITH THE WCO

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC, Commission) plans to create a legal framework for effective coordination of customs services actions of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries with the World Customs Organization (WCO). This was announced by Sergei Vladimirov, Director of the EEC Department of Customs Legislation at the first session of the newly formed sectoral working group.
