As part of my research work, today I discovered the materials of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Strategies for the Development of the Customs Service: Components of Success and Ways to Increase Efficiency”, which was held in Yekaterinburg, October 6-7, 2021.
Representatives of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy took part in the project “Scientists to Schools” (as part of the launch of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia in 2023). The event was dedicated to the Day of Russian Science.

Please accept our sincere congratulations on the Day of Russian Science!
For my colleagues, the scientific activity of the Russian Customs Academy is associated, first of all, with its Research Institute, which, in our opinion, is a serious center for conducting scientific research in the field of improving customs administration and trade facilitation.
In accordance with the recommendation of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated October 26, 2022 № 2-пл/1 (recommendation), from September 1, 2023, new criteria are introduced for applicants for the academic degrees of candidate of science, doctor of science (Ph.D), as well as to members of dissertation councils.
On January 26, the Central House of Scientists hosted a meeting of the Economic Management Section on the topic “Influence of Price Dynamics on the Development of the Russian Economy”. From the Russian Customs Academy the meeting was attended by representatives of the Research institute Mr. Vladimir Novikov and Ms. Anna Boborykina. The problems and challenges facing the domestic economy in modern conditions were discussed with representatives of various universities, as well as institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In 2020, at the platform of the Eurasian Economic commission (Commission) they began the work on amending the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter, respectively – the Customs Code of the Union, the EAEU, the Union). The work is carried out within the framework of the Working Group on improving the customs regulation of the Union.
On February 15, 2023, the World Customs Organization (WCO) will organize a symposium on e-commerce and customs valuation.
The objective of this symposium is to expose how the development of trade through E‑Commerce is impacting on the Customs valuation of imported goods. In this symposium, we will hear about the challenges being faced by Customs and the initiatives taken and being developed to ensure effective control and collection of duties and taxes at the border. In addition, the private sector will share its challenges in its work with Customs related to this phenomenon.
